Day 16: Collective Entities & Ancestry
In our exploration of the Feminist Economy on week 1, we discussed how it emphasizes alternative economic evaluations, focusing on care work, intersectional considerations, and well-being. In week 2 we talked about the role of algorithms and digital systems in the work of secondhand economies. In week 3 we exercised our imagination via fictions and futures.
Now, we will combine these ideas to imagine economic practices that are collective, cooperative, and environmentally conscious while questioning/queering the roles of technology. We will further build on a speculative project to envision a more just and intersectional care economy within the secondhand sector.
Guiding Prompt
We’re going to elaborate into a single concept throughout the week. As you continue to develop your concept, I will provide prompts to guide your ideation. Today:
Ancestry:

-
How do these experiences shape your relationship to money, land, and the items you own or sell?
- How will this play out in your collective entity fiction?
